1. Ableton Live 12 launches AI stem separation and internal Splice integration for free - I may be biased when I say this but Ableton truly is the throat goat of music production DAWs. It’s not even just a DAW any more, it’s my DAWG. These features are still in public beta but this is just the beginning for producers like myself who love to fire through creative production bursts without ever having to leave Ableton. God bless those German nerds.
   

   

1. Paul Oakenfold is throwing a yacht rave on the Galapagos Islands where Darwin formed his revolutionary evolutionary theories (you like what I did there at the end of that headline) - taking place on a yacht with each suite priced at around $50,000 and limited to only 100 guests, the voyage will bring together a bunch of filthy rich people. Guest list includes scientific luminaries and personalities like astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Too bad Bill Nye the Science guy wasn’t invited.
   

   

    

2. Last minute Burning Man surprise appearance shocks everyone - it really doesn’t get any more American than a woman, unknowingly pregnant, giving birth to a baby girl in an RV. I don’t want to be the guy to say it out loud but I just hope she was as sober as judge during her pregnancy. Yes, the picture below is real. I can’t wait to see what Burning Man has for us next year!
   

   

1. Spotify DMs allows you to start your 17th simultaneously chat with friends - having sent a few DMs back and Fourth already, it’s cool to see the integration of all the music you’ve shared with people outside of the app going back years. It even mentions that you shared X song with Y person “off app.” Luckily, there’s no image or video sharing features, but I’m sure that will be dropping in the near future. 😉
