Oh hey, how are ya - it’s Fourth Co.

Everyday, about 150,000 new songs are released to the world.

That means, there’s been over 18 tracks released since Rekordbox worked the way it’s supposed to.

Only a handful of those deserve your attention, so let’s pitter patter…

***āš ļøBut first - an important house keeping updateāš ļø***

I’ve been writing this newsletter for 11 months now and reached my free subscriber 2,500 limit 4 weeks ago. With a 33% open rate, that’s about 830 people (which is crazy) but here’s the problem...

Above 2,500 subs and I have to start paying a decent amount just to keep this email going - and unfortunately for me, I barely make shit from the ads in this email, let alone my artist career as whole (but that’s a different rant for another discussion lol).

Now here’s my ask to you, if you wish to no longer receive these emails, PLEASE UNSUBSCRIBE so I can continue to add the new people (there’s 228 new people pending).

I’m not currently in the business of paying to write emails so please help me out. And any other feedback is always welcomed!

Notable News - 4 things āœ…:

  1. Move over Rekordbox, Native Instruments drops its new Traktor MX2 - marketed as a club ready controller, I always thought of Traktor as the Android to Pioneer/AlphaTheta’s Apple. NI Traktor software has always felt superior to me (I started on it and spent 4 years loving it before being forced over to Rekordbox because of the whole ā€œindustry standardā€ club gear bs). The Apple vs Android analogy also works because Pioneer has always had sturdy, metal, long last physical gear whereas Traktor is plastic, weirdly designed, and prone to breaking down. Even the picture of the new MX2 looks like an outdated AI image prompt for a grainy 2009 futuristic looking controller.

  2. Seth Troxler seeks help after 12,000 vinyl record collection ruined in Ibiza floods - the craziest thing to me is that I carry literally every single song I own on my USB at all times and it’s only half of Seth’s collection. I haven’t DJ’d on a laptop in 7 years (because I treat my USB like an open format laptop) - sue me! Anyway, Stroxler has asked people for help cleaning and repairing the vinyls, offering to pay them $10/hour which has now sparked a new debate with people complaining online about that being a piss poor hourly rate.

  3. Brooklyn Mirage officially plans to be demolished - in a dumpster fire of a story that I’ve been tracking for months, the tragic end to the Mirage looks to finally be here. Somebody online said this opens up the opportunity for the greatest Spirit of Halloween the world has ever seen. If true, the people could throw one last illegal rave (no need for all the bells and whistles), which by the way, is how this now infamous defunct venue got its start.

  4. Beatport launches live ticketing platform - this couldn’t be any better news for promoters, artists, and labels to be able to sell tickets from directly within the largest dance music marketplace. For anybody who doesn’t know, Beatport is like the iTunes for DJs and dance music. This truly feel like a great direction for DJs to connect directly with fans, earn some money in the process, and make everyone a little happier. Well maybe not Ticketmaster and the other ticketed conglomerates, but c’est la vie folks.

Need help preventing a hangover after a late night Bender?

We’ve all been there—the morning after a night out, when the fun catches up, and the hangiexty sets in. Your head’s in a boxing match and your stomach’s swirling around like a hot jacuzzi. You told yourself just ā€œ1 drink tonightā€ and all of the sudden you’re in some random kitchen at 4am šŸ’€

Hangover’s hit hard… and they hit even harder when you get older. So why are you still doing NOTHING about it??

The cure: that’s where the Bender Extender comes inšŸ‘‡

Your hangover’s worst enemy: it’s packed with natural liver loving vitamins & minerals, Mother Earth’s green ingredients, and activated charcoal to accelerate the detoxification process of removing alcohol’s deadly toxins from your body.

This stuff will literally revive you, so act wisely!

⚔Best way to take the Bender Extender:

  1. Take both capsules with a cup of water

  2. Chug some water after boozing it all night

  3. Wake up feeling pretty damn good

  4. Go on with your day... or be a degenerate like me and extend your bender

Try it out with the link below (but don’t wait too long), fall benders are herešŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡

Still rawdogging your hearing without Earplugs at live shows?

Have you heard (pun intended)… Martin Garrix and Alesso both suffer from significant hearing loss (aka Tinnitus).

The solution: buy some half decent ear plugs and save your hearing!

I’ve used Eargasm’s Earplugs for 2.5 years while DJing for hundreds of hours.
