1. Chicago just got a new House & Country music festival - I would know because I’m playing it on Friday, June 20th (EDM only day) at the iconic NFL Soldier Field Stadium. 2. If you didn’t dance enough, Movement added a “Detroit Techno 5k” run - with the intention “that the mind-body connection is at the heart of the race,” techno & house music festival goers had the opportunity to run along the 3.1-mile course along the scenic Detroit River that sets the international border with Canada. Personally, I think dancing for 8 hours straight while running off a coffee and like 643 calories of food is enough exercise for me.
   

   

3. Zedd is dropping a documentary with free a premier screening in LA - to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of his album ‘True Colors.’ If you recall, a lot of the songs from this album were mainstream hits which definitely helped propel EDM and Dance Music to broader audiences. Whether you like that or not, you can’t deny the Americans loooove their dance music nowadays. So, thank you, Zedd.

   

4. Fisher shut down traffic for 5,000 people who came to dance at his block party in Denver - apparently tickets were around $110 which sounds like easy money to me for a midday street rave. A city known for its bass music, Fisher knew how to throw down some groovy house while also putting on artists like, SIDEPIECE, Odd Mob, and Lauren Lane. I’m still waiting for Chicago do throw some parties like this.
