Notable News - 4 things ✅:

1. Metallica’s sandman entered to save the Tomorrowland day - in a remarkably clutch last minute move, the famous heavy metal band donated their speakers to the Belgium festival. Metallica, currently on world tour, airlifted their life saving concert components overnight to rescue the Tomorrowland main stage after its catastrophic fire. I saw Metallica live at Lollapalooza back in 2015, those guys really know how to pull some strings as the master of puppets (if you listen to them, you’ll enjoy that pun).
   

   

2. Eric Prydz is getting roasted alive over a pre-recorded set controversy - someone posted a grainy overhead picture of the iconic DJ’s live layout and alleged that Prydz is a sellout. With audio clearly coming out of a single mixer, and a 17-min countdown time stop on the CDJs, naturally this has sparked a hot debate on Reddit. I was looking through the thread and it was funny how I saw many posts are defending the pre-recorded argument because Prydz is a goat, so that means it’s okay. Typically, Reddit would be having a meltdown over this. Oh well, sucks to see even once-golden goose legends doing this.
   

   

3. “Gurning Rave Guy” is alive and well, spotted at Tomorrowland - recreating the famous meme that we all know and love while enjoying a Charlotte de Witte techno set. Buddy’s jaw still looks like its about to dislocate to the point of no return…. and yet, he still finds a way to keep that thing on lock. Now in his 40s, his bugged-eyed, K-hole face, and wacky inflatable tube man arms are still having a rave ol time. Long live the Gurning rave king!
   

   

4. FL Studio officially has incorporated AI to help users make songs - the music production software that 91% of all producers have cracked at one point (I just made that number up, but it’s probably not even that far off lol), has now directly integrated AI with 3 new tools. FL has “always been about getting ideas down quickly,” and so these new updates will enhance the user experience to create faster without getting the in the way. Oh and this update is free to all existing owners. Ableton… the ball is in your court.
