Oh hey, how are ya - itās Fourth Co.
Everyday, about 150,000 new songs are released to the world.
That means, thereās been over 184,649 copycat tracks released since Max Styler released an original.
Only a handful of those deserve your attention, so letās pitter patterā¦
Steal This - my most played song this week (probablyš):
Notable News - 4 things ā :
- Max Styler named #1 Top Producer by 1001Tracklists - a fitting spot for the guy who spawned the sound that literally every tech house bro has been making for the last 4 months. It's a great style but not necessarily my cup of tea. Bring back the groovy basslines and Iām a happy camper.
- Tame Impala's new instrument is on display at ADE - the brand new chord generating synth instrument, ORCHID, that I reported on earlier this year, has been available for use this week at the legendary Amsterdam Dance Event. Unfortunately, the midi synthesizer is already sold out.
- Egypt doesnt want raves anymore at the Pyramids - in a āwhat if we threw a rave at the Pyramids of Gizaā moment, an Egyptian social rights group sues to halt raves and music festivals at this Seven Wonders of the World site. Complaining that the powerful sound systems and fazer lazer light shows are having a negative impact on the heritage sight, I think King Tut would've loved a grimy rager.
- MTV is shutting down its UK channels after 40 years - let me settle the confusion, MTV in America will remain (playing the worst reality tv re-runs all day), while international channels will shut down for good. The channel that was born from the line āvideo killed the radio starā is now slowly being killed off by the āsocial media influencer.ā
Quaint Quote of the Week āļø:

āTame Impala on who the real critic isā
