Notable News - 4 things ✅:

1. EDC Las Vegas had a half $1M bottle service package - the $575,000 price tag included 125 bottles of Dom Perignon Brut, 125 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose, and 10 bottles of Clase Azul Ultra Tequila for a total of 260 bottles. Apparently a 6-pack of Bud Light’s were $150. What ever happened to a good ol 24-case of warm PBR’s and a log of Zyn. I guess I’m too poor to even wrap my mind around that kind of splurge for festival peasant like myself.

   

2. Brooklyn Mirage is really living up to its name - because it’s reopening date is a fake sight to be seen. All of it’s Memorial Day Weekend shows have been postponed and it seems like there’s no real definite opening day at this time. Talk about a shit show leaving literal millions of dollars on the table as this thing drags out. Just come to Chicago instead and come see me headline the all white-attire, “Nights in Mykonos - Apollo Awakens” show on May 25th. Last minute tickets are below if you actually wanna pull thru: 👇👇

3. Apple Music now has “Sound Therapy” - a new feature that blends background ambient sounds, like brown noise or a rainstorm, to certain popular songs. There’s 3 main categories of playlists (Sleep, Focus, and Relax), and should supposedly do exact what each title say. Some of the songs that will have this feature are by artists like Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry, and Kacey Musgraves… so yes, I’m skeptical if this is just a marketing gimmick to get more people to listen to these featured artists. Oh well, I’ll never know because I’m a ride or die Spotify and SoundCloud guy.

4. Tiesto went back to his roots closing out EDC - if you’e an OG Tiesto nut like me, you know that he first got his name out there in 1999 with his Trance CD series titled, “In Search of Sunrise.” For an EDC Vegas main stage, this sound is a big switch but also kind of cool for younger audiences to a get a lil dose of 90s inspired trance. Thankfully, I have an older brother who, in the mid and late 2000s, would play split play screen Halo 2 with me ripping trance and happy hardcore for hours on the radio. Those were the days!
