Steal This - my most played song this week (probably):

Why it gets me going - Where my 90 babies at, this track takes me back in time to my youth. Back when all my meals where free, and I didn’t have to worry about health insurance, or pay taxes, and my parents where unconditionally proud of me. Obviously this house take on it by Jay Pryor taps into that. I’ve also seen it certifiably get the booth bunnies buzzin when playing out live.

Notable News - 4 things:

1. Zedd & The Chainsmokers will be spinning at the NBA All-Star game - a potential b2b in SanFran the weekend of Feb 14. Not sure how many Grammy’s have been won between these two acts but booking them is definitely a different step for the NBA, a move away from more Rap and Hip Hop centric artists.

   

2. Sebastian Ingrosso cancels his Las Vegas Sphere show - originally planned for January 10th, he backed out due to personal health concerns. Not much to be upset about if I'm being frank, I'm just more excited for the guys who are going to be replacing him, Italian DJ duo Mathame. Never heard of them but I'm vicariously living through them right now. Good luck boys.

   

3. Diplo did the most normal thing ever and ran a marathon on LSD - because nothing quite says ‘vision quest’ like battling through 26 miles of pure cardio bliss. I've never run a marathon or done acid, so I can't really relate.

   

4. The EDM community rallies together to support the victim of the Los Angeles fires - many of us have some close friends affected by the massive fires. No update if the fires are contained yet, they’ve already forced mass evacuations and billions of dollars of destruction. Entire lives have been up uprooted.

   For more info: EDM Identity has compiled a list of evacuation centers, donation centers and websites, meal services, and animal shelters for reference. They will continue to update this article with more information as it surfaces.
