Why it gets me going - Basura Boyz invited me to his studio a few weeks ago with some fellow DJ friends after a late night show in Chicago. He showed me this track while it was in the works as a collab with Chicago legend, Gene Farris, and the madman Sage Armstrong. It’s so simple yet so catchy, I can’t help but bop to it. 1. Somebody cut some limes because Meltin’ Margs is bringing a House & Country music festival to Chicago - happening at Solider Field, the home of the Chicago Bear’s NFL team, this 2-day festival taking place on June 20th & 21st will feature a dedicated day of all out House and Country music. 2. Marten Hørger takes “break a leg” advice too seriously - the DJ broke his foot chasing a pizza delivery guy before a show. But for anyone who’s ever doubted him, the rally king headed straight from the ER to the booth and still threw down a night of raging, something even the best doctors couldn’t prescribe.

   

3. Are the Chicago Cubs trying to sign John Summit - the Chicago-native threw out the first pitch earlier this week at Wrigley Field. And in Summy fashion, he sang one of the most out-of-key and giggly rendition of ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’ in Cub’s history. It’s okay though because it looked like the crowd welcomed home their very own with warm hearts.

   

4. All good things must come to end after Tchami & Malaa announce their final “No Redemption” show - finishing off their 8-year long tour, these French heavyweight DJs will be throwing down their “grand finale” b2b show at EDC Las Vegas. I saw them live with my lil sister in Chicago back in December 2023, and yes, I can confirm it went hard— they even helped converter my sis into a house fan so thank you for your service, boys. 🫡
