Notable News - 4 things ✅:

1. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2025 set a new record of 600,000 attendees - with people coming in from over 140 countries, hosting more than 3,400 artists at over 1,200 events across 300 venues, ADE has become the world’s biggest EDM summit. I feel like if you’re not there than wtf are you doing (I’m mostly talking to myself who’s never been). Next year will be the 30th anniversary so hopefully I make my way over to the Netherlands… who else wants to pull up with me?
   

   

2. Spinnin’ Records founder launches new EDM artist development firm - trying to switch things up from the failing traditional record label structure, Roger de Graaf looks to establish a new hybrid model involving “recording, publishing, and consulting to provide artits with creative and professional support… aiming to foster new talent and guide careers.” Basically sounds to me like, “oh X artist has been able to blow up and grow their own artist career, well we can help pour some fuel on the fire they started and really help them blow things up that go beyond traditional label services.” I back it tbh.
   

   

3. New York City opens new cheesy pop-up night club - Cheez-It is showcasing its themed cocktails, cracker taps, and cheesy snacks for club goers to dance with under a giant “Cheeze-It Disco Cube.” Yes, there’s even VICheez bottle service, let’s just hope people’s pockets aren’t made of Swiss cheese because this doesn’t sound like your typical broke boy cheesy nightlife adventure. I hear Trump likes to dance in front of their CO2 cheese machines.

   

4. Spotify Wrapped 2025 is right around the corner with new AI driven data - expecting to be dropping late November or the first week of December, Spotify Wrapped season is always a social media frenzy. For both listeners and artists alike, the gamification of the streaming app consumption is kinda crazy how much fomo and main-character pressure it puts on everyone. I do love how it creates a playlist of my most played music that I can forever go back and listen to for a quick nostalgia bump when I’m feeling down.
