Carpe That DM 😈 - Armin van Buuren may quit DJing for this new profession, John Summit betrays his hometown Chicago, Apple Music releases Top 500 songs playlist, and much more...

Oh hey, how are ya - it’s Fourth Co.

Everyday, about 150,000 new songs are released to the world.

That means, there’s been over 98,345,0953 tracks released since Dom Dolla was clean shaven.

Only a handful of those deserve your attention, so let’s pitter patter…

Steal This - my most played song this week (probablyšŸ‘‡):

Notable News - 4 things āœ…:

  1. John Summit betrays hometown Chicago by throwing his own music festival in NYC - an Experts Only lineup, a label he started to showcase his brand of house, will feature artists like Green Velvet b2b Layton Giordani, Kaskade b2b Cassian, LP Giobbi, DJ Seinfeld, Pete Tong, and a bunch more. The 2-day fest is anticipating 50,000 party goers across 2 stages with GA tickets starting at $120. I feel like most artists deep down have this idea that maybe one day they can start their own label and eventually turn it into a festival. Summy is clearly doing that so props to him on making the leap.

  2. Tomorrowland Music and 1001Tracklists are creating a new label together called ā€˜1001 Recordings’ - everybody lowkey knows the real DJ charts and support happens on 1001Tracklists—it’s waaaay harder to fake that kind of support. I stumbled into becoming friends for the week with the CEO of 1001, Evan Sacks, during Miami Music Week last year and there’s no doubt buddy has his ā€œfinger on the pulse of dance music.ā€ With the distribution and resources of Tomorrowland paired with the marketplace of merit and data that comes with 1001, this sounds like a great collab in the making.

  3. Apple Music drops it ā€˜Top 500’ most streamed songs in the past decade - in part for its 10th anniversary, the top song is Ed Sheeran’s ā€˜Shape of You.’ Luckily for me, I have Spotify and therefore, don’t have access to said playlist—but I doubt there are more than 20 songs in that list that can be considered as actual EDM or house music. I would bet 90% of the music is pop, rap, country, and then a few indie tracks here and there. So if that’s not your cup of tequila, then you’re not missing much.

  4. Armin van Buuren may quit DJing to become a swimsuit model - posing for Men’s Health, turns out the 48 year old Dutch trance legend is absolutely shredded. No this isn’t Ozempic, buddy looks like he actually went all out, committed to the health and fitness bit, and now here he is, famous and fit. You’d think running a label like Armada while also touring the world and pumping out banger year after year is hard enough. I swear those Dutch DJs really are built different.

Quaint Quote of the Week āœļø:

Need help preventing a hangover after a late night Bender?

We’ve all been there—the morning after a night out, when the fun catches up, and the hangiexty sets in. Your head’s in a boxing match and your stomach’s swirling around like a hot jacuzzi. You told yourself just ā€œ1 drink tonightā€ and all of the sudden you’re in some random kitchen at 4am šŸ’€

Hangover’s hit hard… and they hit even harder when you get older. So why are you still doing NOTHING about it??

The cure: that’s where the Bender Extender comes inšŸ‘‡

Your hangover’s worst enemy: it’s packed with natural liver loving vitamins & minerals, Mother Earth’s green ingredients, and activated charcoal to accelerate the detoxification process of removing alcohol’s deadly toxins from your body.

This stuff will literally revive you, so act wisely!

⚔Best way to take the Bender Extender:

  1. Take both capsules with a cup of water

  2. Chug some water after boozing it all night

  3. Wake up feeling pretty damn good

  4. Go on with your day... or be a degenerate like me and extend your bender

Still rawdogging your hearing without Earplugs at live shows?

Have you heard (pun intended)… Martin Garrix and Alesso both suffer from significant hearing loss (aka Tinnitus).

The solution: buy some half decent ear plugs and save your hearing!

I’ve used Eargasm’s Earplugs for 2.5 years while DJing for hundreds of hours.
