Why it gets me going - accidentally came across an insta reel of these 2 guys jamming out on a couple of keyboards. The one guy’s got the voice box tube thing hooked up to his mouth and is chopping it up on the keys like he’s in the original 1984 karate kid movie. The sick part happens at 1:09. Listen for yourself and tell me if you think these guys were inspired by Daft Punk.

Notable News - 4 things ✅:

1. Let the guest list Olympics begin because we’re days away from Miami Music Week - unfortunately, I don’t think my Uber rating is high enough to partake in all the activities across South Beach. The mecca for casually brushing shoulders with the biggest names in the game, the work-hard-play-hard mentality of MMW is bonkers and I’m so ready for it.

   

2. Lollapalooza is back this year with some major dance music acts - not only will Rufus Du Sol be headlining, but we’re also getting spoiled with the likes of Dom Dolla, Cloonee, Sammy Virji, and Mau P. If you love house (like moi), then this is solid lineup. But let’s also not forget about the caffeine espresso queen herself, Sabrina Carpenter. Ugh 🥵🥵

   

3. Brooklyn Mirage is getting a face lift in 2025 - if you know anything about Halo (the video game), this new futuristic designs feels like something out of an ancient Forerunner installation. Personally, I think it already looks outdated. It isn’t 2001 anymore—go Google what a Halo forerunner installation looks like and tell me I’m wrong lol.

   

1. Amongst a sea of trillions of dollars recently wiped from the stock market, Spotify’s shares soared 21% - so for every 5 dollars they were already worth, they just tagged on another buck—crazy! This news comes after strategic moves partnering up with Warner Music Group giving Spotify a total return of nearly 400% over the last 5 years. Why didn’t I buy!?!?!
