1. “Yes, Bad Bunny requests are accepted” says new Spotify AI DJ bot - with the use of voice commands, users can now request songs to their Spotify AI DJ player. Right now it only works in english but essentially we’ve now got our own personal voice activated DJ for Spotify. I wonder who’s going to be the most requested artist. I know when I’m DJing, I never actually get requests to play Bad Bunny… he’s the only artist that booth bunnies demand I play.

   

2. James Hype trolls Deadmau5 with his new upcoming SYNC live show - in a video from years ago, the king of rage bait, Deadmau5, rants that “of course DJs use pre-recorded sets,” particularly at festivals. Using the timing sync of the visuals with the music as evidence, this claim has been hotly debated over the years amongst DJs and dance music lovers whether or not this is true. Well now James Hype strikes back with his brand new rig where the visuals are activated by his button clicks on his DJ setup. If anybody’s going to make this look cool as they spamm a bunch of cue buttons, it’s gonna be the hype master himself, James Hype.

   

3. Insomniac Radio app just dropped into a pocket near you - a free 24/7 streaming platform covering all things EDM. Not just listening to music, but exclusive artists interviews, radio personalities, and live coverage from around the globe. It’s going to be packed with over 120 weekly shows on day one from major artists like Martin Garrix, John Summit, Zeds Dead, Purple Disco Machine, and even Hardwell. With 4 main channels, I was fired up to see one of my biggest muse’s, the Goshfather himself, an artist that I’ve been pulling major inspiration from, will be hosting the “ANALOG” channel. LFG

   

4. Dutch dude had 110 lbs of molly in his suitcase seized at Ibiza Airport with over 163,000 pills - the 22-year old donkey apparently made no effort to conceal the ecstasy, packing it in plain sight in his only luggage as he confidently walked through the airport. Police estimate the value of the drugs at $3.5m USD and jail penalties that can range from 3-9 years in prison. I guess a bunch of people are gonna have to eat, sleep, rave, and repeat their Iberian island adventures this summer without their good friend, Molly.
